Excellent, Kenneth.
You seem to be getting into the swing of it and I look forward to seeing your next design.
Now that you have developed a template, how long is it taking you to produce a new design from scratch and how much are you relying on existing computer artwork and how much on your own artist abilities to produce new charges?
I do have one minor quibble, if you will forgive me?
Is it possible to add highlights to the bats wings in the crest?
All the best,
Iain Boyd |

Thanks, Iain.

Having already drawn the helm, mantling, shield and motto scroll, I am now drawing everything else from scratch. Any new charges and crest items have to be created and it really just depends on how complicated they are as to how long it takes. The dragons' heads were obviously the most difficult things in this achievement and took about half an hour. | Quote: | I do have one minor quibble, if you will forgive me?

I suppose I could, but what I am doing here are really just line drawings colored with gradients. The only "shading"is that of the bevel of the shields on which everything is absolutely flat line drawing. I hope to do more with the application of shade and light in future works, but likely not using this templated method. _________________ Kenneth Mansfield |

Kenneth, A very nice picture, beautiful, thank you very much.
I have only one remark the tongues of the dragons should be gules. _________________ Regards,

Kenneth your artwork is progressing by "leaps and bounds." Excellent.

Every one of our IAAH artists has his or own style.
In my view Kenneth's heraldic artistry has always been first class and I would not like to see him move away from his own (very clear) style. _________________ John Jones
